Cort Johnson

THIS IS THE OFFICIAL CORT JOHNSON BIO:
Just in case you ended up here by accident.  If so, go ahead and click the "back" button on the browser menu bar above.

This is the part where I get tell you about how cool I am, where I’ve traveled, famous people I’ve met and hungout with, cities in which I’ve lived and the like.  I've got none of that for you.  In fact, I think the only time “Cort Johnson” and “Cool” were in the same sentence, it went something like this: “The Utah sun was so intensely hot, that Cort Johnson, the large pasty white red-head, had to step into a walk-in freezer in order to cool down.”

But since you are here – I will tell you a few things.  I’m a lucky guy for a few reasons : I have a job that I love going to, a really cool (and hot) wife that I tricked into marrying me, and the two most beautiful girls in the world.  I’m a huge fan of music, U2 is my favorite band, but Michael Martin Murphey speaks to me (not just through his music, but we’re Facebook friends).  I also watch way too much television - but hey, someone’s got to do it, in order to keep up that national average of 4-hours a day.

I grew up in Pleasant Grove, worked at Harts (the gas station), a movie theatre, a car detail shop and a restaurant in high school.  And – just like you, I’m broke not just at the end of the month, but in the middle too.  By the way, I like short walks on the beach – walking in sand kind of sucks.  In fact, if I can avoid it, I will.

I started my career in radio back in November of 1999 (though technically, I did do radio in high school - KPGR in Pleasant Grove, so maybe more like 1994).  Anyway, I started as an unpaid intern.  Not much has changed since then – most people in the building still don’t know my name and I still don’t get paid much.  I did, however, help Mick Martin from KBER 101 get the printer to work the other day, so I think he might wave to me next time I see him.  You know, if I'm lucky.

I'd love for you to be my Facebook pal.  My friend.  Mon ami.  Just click here.
